Buying and receiving your book
We store your order reference, payment reference, selected currency, total, email address supplied by PayPal, payer country where provided, payment status, consent to immediate digital supply, the terms accepted, and delivery/download records. We use these to fulfil your order, provide support, prevent misuse and keep necessary business records. Our bases are performance of your purchase contract, legal obligations where applicable, and legitimate interests in securing the service.
PayPal processes your payment under its own privacy notice. We do not receive or store your card number or PayPal password. Our hosting provider, Unlimited Web Hosting, and the email provider configured for this site process data needed to host the site and deliver transactional messages. PayPal and service providers may process data internationally under their own applicable safeguards.
Cookies and your browser
A session cookie protects checkout and remembers access to your order. If you change currency, a preference cookie remembers your choice for 30 days. These serve the requested shopping functions. We do not embed third-party fonts or add you to a mailing list. Your analytics choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days.
Optional Google Analytics
If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources, article reading, sample and book clicks, checkout starts and confirmed purchases. Google receives information such as pages visited, browser and device details, approximate location derived from the connection, and cookie identifiers. We do not send your name, email address, payment credentials or private download link as analytics fields. Purchase measurement uses a separate reporting reference, the amount and currency.
Analytics is off until you accept. Rejecting it does not prevent browsing, buying or downloading. You can change your choice using in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics on this browser and removes its Google Analytics cookies; it does not automatically delete data already collected. We configure analytics cookies to last up to 180 days. Browser controls may remove them sooner. We do not enable advertising personalisation or Google Signals.
We use your consent as the basis for optional analytics. Google may process analytics information outside the UK under its applicable transfer safeguards. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Contact us with questions about your information.
Security and retention
We store order data outside the public website folder. Download links are private access credentials: keep them to yourself. Technical security records include hashed rate-limit identifiers; temporary rate-limit records expire automatically. Hosting access logs may contain IP addresses and requested URLs, including download links, and should be protected as sensitive records.
The order-record retention period will be confirmed here before launch.
Your choices and rights
You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, or to object to relevant processing. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations. Depending on your circumstances, you may also have rights to restriction and portability. You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data protection authority.
